Small ideas. Made interactive.

Milk Krate is a Singapore-based creative studio currently working from Melbourne, building interactive digital experiences for brands, campaigns and events.

Not just another website.

Sometimes a campaign needs more than a landing page.

  • Maybe it's a game.
  • Maybe it's a digital world.
  • Maybe it's a tiny interaction that gives people a reason to stop, play and share.

I design and build those things.

What I make

  • Interactive Microsites

Campaigns, launches and stories brought to life through the browser.

  • Games & Experiences

Simple, playful interactions designed to get people involved.

  • Digital Tools

Useful little products that make an idea easier to experience, share or understand.

  • Creative Development

Have the idea but need someone to make it real? I can take it from concept to working experience.

(Also on the table)

  • Web Design

Websites designed around your brand and built to turn visitors into enquiries.

  • Web Development

Fast, reliable sites your team can update, handed over in full.

  • Brand Identity

Logo, colour and type systems that give a brand a consistent, recognisable look.

  • Graphic Design

Campaign, event and social visuals, produced to your guidelines.

Small studio. Full build.

Milk Krate sits somewhere between design and development.

I think through the idea, design the interaction and build the thing.

That means fewer handovers, faster experiments and experiences that feel considered from the first click to the last.

Campaigns, events and activations

Milk Krate started with digital activations for retail spaces and events, and that is still a core specialism. Each one is built around a single commercial goal. Pick the outcome that matters most and I'll recommend the right approach.

Getting people through the door, and across to a second location, is the hardest part of physical retail.

A clear reason to visit, and a reason to visit your other location too.

Example build: A phone-based trail across your stores, with a reward for completing both.

Measured by: Visits, and conversion to your second location.

Start with this goal

Visitors see the front of the store and leave before reaching the rest.

Guided discovery that moves people through your entire space.

Example build: An in-store hunt that leads visitors from one brand corner to the next.

Measured by: Stops reached and time spent in-store.

Start with this goal

A strong in-store experience rarely reaches your visitors' followers.

A share-worthy moment designed into the visit itself.

Example build: A personalised result or keepsake, generated on the spot and designed to be shared.

Measured by: Shares, tags, and referral traffic back to you.

Start with this goal

A good first visit doesn't guarantee a second.

An ongoing reason to return, and a direct line to your customers.

Example build: A digital collection that builds over repeat visits, linked to your membership or mailing list.

Measured by: Sign-ups and return visits.

Start with this goal

Need an extra pair of hands?

Milk Krate also works behind the scenes with creative, branding and experiential studios.

If you've got the concept but need someone to design and build the interactive part, I can jump in.

  • Microsites. Games. Prototypes. Campaign experiences. Digital tools.

You bring the brief. I'll help make it work.

This work is white-label: under your name, to your deadlines, and never shown in my portfolio.

How a project runs.

  • Define the objective

We agree in writing what the project needs to achieve, before any design begins.

  • Agree scope and measures

Scope, timeline, a fixed quote and the measures of success are confirmed upfront.

  • Design and build

I take the project from concept to launch personally, with regular progress updates.

  • Launch and support

Work is tested before launch, and I provide support through the live period. For activations, you receive a report on performance against the agreed measures.

About Milk Krate

Milk Krate is my little studio for making things that sit somewhere between design, technology and play.

I'm Gillianne, a design engineer. My background spans frontend development, product design, brand and interactive experiences, and I like working on the bits that don't fit neatly into one discipline.

  • A website that feels like a game.
  • A campaign that behaves like a toy.
  • A digital tool that makes something complicated feel simple.

I combine interaction design with frontend engineering, and bring in other creatives when a project needs a bigger team.

Based in Singapore and Melbourne. Taking projects across both markets and remotely.

Frequently asked questions.

Can you handle both design and build?

Yes. You can engage me for design, for development, or for both. Delivering both means what you approve is exactly what gets built.

Who will work on my project?

I lead every project personally and remain your single point of contact from scoping to launch.

How is a project priced?

Every project is quoted at a fixed price once the scope is agreed, so you know the full cost before work begins. Anything outside the agreed scope is quoted separately.

How long does a project take?

Campaign tools are typically live within one to two weeks. Digital activations take two to three weeks from sign-off. Installations take four to eight weeks, driven by fabrication and hardware lead times. Design and website timelines are confirmed in the proposal once scope is agreed. If you're working to a fixed deadline, raise it on our first call.

Who owns what you build?

You do. On delivery, you receive the code, assets and source files, yours to run, modify or rebuild independently. I ask only to show the work in my portfolio. Agency partner work is white-label and never shown.

Where are you based, and do you travel?

Milk Krate operates from Singapore and Melbourne. Most design and digital work is delivered remotely, and on-site work can be arranged anywhere.

Is there a rate for smaller or non-commercial work?

Yes. A mission-first rate is available for independent, community and cultural projects, assessed case by case.

Have an idea?

You don't need a six-month digital project. Sometimes you just need someone to turn a good idea into something people can play with. Let's make it.
